Shakespeare From the Ground theater ensemble announces their first production of 2021. In partnership with Ecker’s Apple Farm, they will be bringing A Midsummer Night’s Dream to life outside against the picturesque pastoral background of Trempealeau, WI. On Sunday, August 15, 2021, bring your blankets and lawn chairs, grab a beer or cider from Hog’s Back Brew Farm, and be prepared to enjoy this dream of a production.

    Judith Wodzak (Quince/Egeus) lives in La Crosse and is a speech language pathologist for the G-E-T school district. She is so excited for this opportunity to perform in one of her favorite Shakespeare plays. Fun fact: When she was in 4th grade, she played Nick Bottom in a children's theatre production of Midsummer. She's told that it was very cute.

    Brittany Jansen is a La Crosse native and works as a project coordinator and copyeditor. Prior to the pandemic, she recently appeared in Tarzan at Appleseed Community Theatre and Elf the Musical at La Crosse Community Theatre. During the past year and a half, she’s kept busy by taking online theatre classes and taking part in five virtual choirs. Branching out from her musical theatre background, she first ventured into the world of straight plays with LCT’s 2020 virtual 24-Hour Project, and she is thrilled to make her Shakespeare debut!
